Dark Corners by Megan Goldin

 I read book 1 The Night Swim by this author and very much enjoyed it, so was looking forward to reading book 2 of the series. It did not disappoint! Rachel Krall, the true crime podcaster returns to search for a popular influencer who disappears after visiting a prisoner, suspected serial killer.

The FBI contacts Rachel and requests her help in the disappearance of the social media influencer. Rachel actually gets a love interest in this book with the handsome FBI agent leading the investigation. He soon regrets getting Rachel involved in the case and placing her in danger and tries to send her back home on the next plane out of Florida! Rachel will have none of that and stays to attend the influencers convention “Buzzcon” where she learns a lot of useful information that she passes on to her new FBI friend.But the further she digs, the more danger she is in.

The characters are all created in depth, the story is very interesting and mysterious. It is a real page turner! The author pulls you in from the first page and keeps your interest throughout the entire book. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to her next release.
